Working At McDonald’s Summary

In " Working At McDonald's ", Etzioni claims that fast food chains are terrible and don't give significant working background or order to kids. Etzioni contends that restaurants such as KFC, and McDonalds no matter how successful are bad jobs for kids and teens. Etzioni gives brilliant defense to his contention and gives illustrations to bolster his point. He can't help the way that McDonalds trains its representatives and abandons them with no space for creativity. For instance in this article Etzioni says that in these teenager employments, “ There is no room for initiative, creativity, or even elementary arrangements “. I support his opinion completely. Most or all additional curricular and work exercises happen after school. Something I have seen on a few events is a teen will land a position and need to keep representing their school in sports. Before long their grades will drop. The choice they will need to make is which activity to surrender. More than a fraction of the time they will desert school sports for more study time. However after Employers realize that, they often try to impose more work hours. Some of these teens will give in, and the issue turns out to be more awful than it was some time recently. If you have ever been to a McDonald's and had a truly inexperienced employee attending to you, you most likely got a bit upset. Effectiveness is imperative at a fast food place. . Tragically McDonalds quick pace does not permit workers to have adequate preparing to enhance proficiency. Taking everything into account, I concur with Mr. Etzioni paper.
