In his essay “You Can’t Kill the Rooster,” David Sedaris described his delinquent younger brother named Paul. Based on David’s description, Paul was very unruly in his behavior and speech, particularly when he habitually cussed at his family, especially at his father. Before Paul was born, the Sedaris family moved from New York State to Raleigh, North Carolina.
