Do you ever stop to think or realize that you should appreciate where you get your things from? Or if you really know someone? Or even if something is right or wrong? In these relationships, mother between her kids from Bucket of Blood, wife between her husband in The Wife’s story, and one person against a whole village, they all go through these situations. They assured us it was nothing we did, but completely their own choice. I stood next to my brother, who had tears streaming down his face. I felt like I had to stay strong for my brother's sake, so I could reassure him that everything would be okay. But deep down I was hurting just like he was. After meeting in the kitchen, my brother and I went to our rooms.
Every person has some kind of flaw; no one is completely perfect. One of humanity’s biggest flaws is that people would do anything to help themselves. I have been in many situations where I saved myself by sacrificing someone else. For example when my parents caught me coming home after curfew, I also ratted out my brother in order to lessen my punishment and take all the attention away from myself. Everyone is selfish in one way or another, always trying to do what is best for themselves.

I completely agree with Ascher and her views on compassion, because I have been in similar situation where I have questioned why people give money, and whether they give with a whole heart or out of necessity. Furthermore, this essay can teach us plenty of lessons that can be utilized throughout our lives so we can teach others and make them aware of the need to be more

I still remember the day that I talk back to my mom,she was like what?,like she never expected that I talked back at her. That day I saw the sadness in her eyes then that’s when I felt guilty for what I’ve done. I totally understand that she always wants the best for me and she doesn’t wants us to get hurt. That’s why I love my family so much that I can’t stand seeing them getting hurt because of me. Being part of a family is a big responsibility.
