Thomas Jefferson was born im Shadwell, Virginia on April 13th 1743. When Thomas was only 14, his father, Peter Jefferson, passed away. He had 10 siblings, 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Their names were Jane, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha, Peter, Lucy, Anna, and Randolph. Jefferson had later served as a delegate to the Second Continental Congress beginning in 1775. The Republicans that he nominated to his cabinent were James Madison, Henry Dearborn, Levi Lincoln, And Robert Smith. Being one of the members of the Continential Congress, Jefferson had been selected to write the draft for the Declaration of Independence. Andrew Jackson was born on March 15th 1767 in the Waxhaw area, on North Carolina-South Carolina border - to Andrew and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson. He was the first president to have been born in a log cabin. When Andrew was just 13 he joined a local milita and served as a courier during the Revolutionary War. Jackson got a forever scar on his face after he was caputured by British soldiers in the invasion of the western Carolinas and was brought to and refused to shine the boots of one of the officer's boots.
