The Civil War was a battle of great importance to our history of the United States. On April 12th, 1861 this battle broke out between the Union States, North, and the Confederate States, such as the South. The Civil War took place all throughout the United states, and did not come to an end until the Union won the war on May 9, 1856. So, our question of “What caused the Civil War”, comes with three important answers. The three main causes of the Civil War between the North and the South were Economic, Social, and Political differences.
“North and South both feared that the other would overpower it in Congress. The balance between slave and free states had to be maintained.” The conflict between the North and the South was named the Civil war, the civil war started April 12, 1861 in the United States. This all started when the government tried to compromise and please both sides because the more compromises that were made the more fights the sides had. In addition, the south seceded from the union.
Uncompromising differences between the South (Confederacy) and the North (Union) created a civil war that lasted five years. During this war, Abraham Lincoln was president. His election led to the secession of many Southern states. After refusing to recognize the Confederacy as its own nation, the American Civil War commenced in 1861. The three main causes of the Civil War between the North and the South were industrial and agricultural economies, politics, and slavery.
April 12, 1861. Confederate forces fired shots at the fort Sumpter and Union troops surrendered sparking the Civil War. Though, how did it come to this? As one can see, evidence shows the primary cause of the Civil War was slavery because of the many more slaves than free blacks, the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 fought over slave or free states, and Dred Scott fought for his freedom from slavery.
The Civil War began in 1861 due to the South and the North having a dispute over slavery. The South repeatedly won battles against the North because they were fighting a defensive war, which gave them an upper hand. Thus, the Anaconda Plan was formed. The strategy enabled the Union to secure critical parts of the South, causing the North to defeat the Confederacy.
The North and South War On April 12, 1861 the Civil War began with the North and South . The North was known as the Union because southerners were pro linconist. The South was known as the Confederacy because some southern slave states declared their secession and formed the Confederate States of America. Both the North and South had advantages during the war.
The Civil War of 1861-65 established what kind of nation the United States would be and it is the center of attention when it comes to conversations about Americas many historical events. The four year war was between the North that was free and the South that supported slavery, all the conflict erupted after president Abraham Lincoln was elected into office in the 1860’s. The civil war started because of the conflict that was happening between these states and the different ways the people were going through life. The reason this war started was because there was so many differences between the free and slave states on who should have the power to prohibit slavery in the territories that hadn’t became states yet. Abraham Lincoln wanted to keep the slavery out of these new territories, but the South disagreed, so instead many of the slave states down south got together and formed their own nation.
The South had very little industry. It was based off of an agrarian economy (Document B). Slaves picked cotton off the plantation and the farmers sold the cotton to make money (Document A). The Southern weren't able to keep their money without slaves working for free. Slavery was vital in the South for the economy.
It was April 12th,1861 when the Civil War in America officially began. The main argument from the South for secession was that they felt that the North was imposing their ideas on them starting from the abolitionists from decades prior. Though, arguably, a civil war was pending from the beginning. Tensions rising could be seen at four different time frames. First, when the North gained economic advantages over the South due to the different bases of their respective economies.
The Civil War which began during the spring of 1861, as a result of tensions between the North and South over controversy including states’ rights versus federal authority, westward expansion and slavery. The Civil War came to a conclusion on May 13th, 1865 with a triumph for the North. The most significant of reasons that the South lost the war has to do with the combination of access to technology, and execution of tactics. The Civil war took many existing weapon technologies and improved them. New weaponry technology was also implemented into the war effort.

The battle lasted two days from April 12 to April 13 and resulted in Confederate forces capturing Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. However, as we all know, the Confederacy would go on to lose the war and the Union would be the victor. After the Civil War there arose speculation that the Confederacy could have one the Civil War.

The American Civil War took place in 1861-1865 between the northern and southern states in America. The trigger of this conflict was due to the fact that the Northern states had been creating more factories and businesses, therefore producing a greater income. However, in the South – the local people had been utilizing African-Americans as slaves for their plantation and labor work. The people of the Northern states wanted to change human rights in the whole country, however the Southerners did not agree as this as they would lose more wealth and their independence. Thus, the economic factors outweighed the political and social aspects that influenced the Civil War.
The Civil War took place between the years 1861 and 1865, it started at Fort Sumter and it ended at the Appomattox Court House. It all began because of one cause, the slaves. Before talking about the cause I might as well explain who were fighting because of it. The Union, it consisted of twenty free slave states and five slave states, because its industrialization no slaves were needed.
