Throughout history many factors have affected the way the country was shaped. In the political sense, however, the major factors would be that of domestic and foreign affairs. During the 1790’s, the nation was going through many drastic changes in order to attempt to make the country a long last success. The most significant changes made thanks the country’s domestic affairs would include the Alien and Sedition Acts, loose vs. strict interpretation acts and the Whiskey Rebellion. Both foreign and domestic affairs helped shape American policies in the 1790’s however, domestic affairs helped the country on a much greater scale. During the 1700s the country was trying desperately to fix problems caused by foreign policies after the war with Britain
