Story One “Winning isn’t everything” This is a strong message Chloe Sybert would like to spread to all the participants of Miss Amazing. Chloe understands that not winning the pageant can make you feel upset or discouraged. She urges everyone to see that the true purpose of the pageant goes far beyond the trophy one receives. “You don’t become awesome by winning, you go there awesome, the pageant is just an opportunity for everyone to tell you how awesome you are,” Chloe said. Chloe feels that since participating in Miss Amazing she is filled self-love and confidence, which is the true prize! Story Two Chloe Sybert is a young girl from Tennessee who has had a love for pageants her whole life. She and her grandma would play dress up when she was little, and Chloe would model all the outfits. Chloe never participated in pageants because “they can make you very self-conscious,” she said. She felt criticism from others about her autism and received accusations that she was using it as a crutch. Through her participation in the pageant, Chloe learned how fantastic she is and gained a lot more self-respect. She learned her true value and began to realized how important self-love is. “If you do not love yourself, you will spread that negatively to other people,” Chloe said. Along with painting and writing poetry, Chloe is studying social work and wants to help others. She plans to continue competing in Miss Amazing and hopes to explore other pageants as well. Chloe believes the most important thing for all to know is that it is not the pageant that is awesome, it is all the girls that participate in the pageant who make it
