Central Idea
A young adult called Hazel discovers her childhood vintage bike whilst going through some old and sentimental items in her garage. Once she reveals the bike from under the tarp , memories of her and her best friend (Rose) are triggered. The audience later discovered that the best friend had gone missing when they were young and hasn't been found since.
The main theme of the short film is learning to let go of the past as well as loss of innocence
Narrative

b) Target Audience Values
Target audience
Both men and women aged 13+.The film is aimed to anyone who has lost someone and needs help letting go. Watching our short film will hopefully make the audience feel better about their loss. We developed our ideas for the audience by brainstorming numerous issues and ideas associated with children and teenagers.
Context

Research
By being in the targeted audience age “span” , we were able to understand our audience and their values/ideas( loss of innocence and learning to let go). I researched the French new Wave movement and watched Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Amelie to understand the audience’s values towards the certain Ideas within the film.

Values of the audience
-feel sympathy for the main character about her best friend being missing.
-we want the audience to react to the film , feeling sad but also satisfied
Techniques used to challenge/reinforce those values flowers are used as a prop throughout the film as they have strong connotations with innocence and childhood. peaceful, sad music playing in the background which creates a certain atmosphere and builds up the
