Anchor blue clothing company Anchor blue or aka millers outpost was a very popular teen wear that was very casual and that mostly everyone bought. This was a California based company that had over 100 store on the western part of the united states. In 1948 brothers Dave and Lou miller founded miller's surplus store in Ontario California. It soon later gained popularity as it was one of the few places in the area that should Levis jeans. After gaining its popularity Dave miller soon opened 210 stores and created its own clothing called millers outpost.the millers out post was generally a department store then they started to make jeans. They even had a military general type of thing too. The Miller's soon sold their company to Amercna corperation which later the expanded 300 storefronts. This company was very successful and made a killing on their tees and jeans. The even sistered wit Levi/Dockers which made the brand more bigger. By them partnering with them they gained more customers. People flew to anchor blue jeans because levis had such a great name. Many teens all around were soon wearing anchor blue jeans. They soon released a urban wear line, Steel Wing, and their own activewear line. Those two lines have been discontinued after they went selling that good. Most of these stores where located in big malls or they had a brick-n-motor stores. They grew very popular everytime some bought a pair of jeans. Next thing you know everyone is wearing anchor blue
