Ancient India had very diverse religions, beginning with Brahmanism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Brahmanism was the first religion that was practiced in Ancient India. Hinduism grew out of Brahmanism and then Buddhism grew out of Hinduism. These three religions were the main religions in Ancient India. Each of these religions change all of the people’s lives, because it determines their area in the caste system. Brahmanism was brought by the Aryans that migrated from Europe. In their religion they offered animals to sacrifice in sacred fire. They also had sacred text called Sanskrit. Mahabharata was an epic poem that retells legends. Also the Bhagavad Gita is part of Mahabharata. Brahmanism was not a strong religion that was kept. Hinduism
