Kelly followed up asking Cruz why “doesn’t make sense" to draft women in combat. “It risks putting women in an unsafe situation,” Cruz said. “If you are dealing with a 200 pound jihadist, the idea that we would be forcibly take our daughters and put them in the position of close combat doesn’t make sense. The job of our war fighters is to defeat the enemy not to be a cauldron for social experiments or political correctness.”

Women can get the credit they deserve, speak out, and let their voices heard and in politics. If nobody spoke up America would not be what it is today and instead a place of disregard by men to the women that have literally made them. If they were to stay at home they would continue belonging to a “cult of domesticity”. This meant that men would undermine them as housewives. The social sphere transformed groundbreakingly by Antebellum America.
In Deborah Tannen’s article, “But What Do You Mean?” Tannen exchanges her view on seven topics of a predicament in a communication between both men and women. The seven topics which are apologies, criticism, thank-you’s, fighting, praise, complaints, and jokes. In this article, Tannen focuses on women mostly as her primary examples, such as giving more examples of women’s misinterpreting and miscommunicating in conversations. However, I believe that her article is too old and that her claims about the ways men and women communicate are too rigid.

Clearly, because women 's specific rights and interests are not protected otherwise.” This quote provides perfect insight into what women would be more invested in that men would otherwise disregard because they aren’t as involved. Second, we need our current politicians to listen to our voices.

In Sojourner Truth 's women 's right speech, she explains all the farm labor she was put through and how she can do as much as any man, even though she’s a woman. However, it was not just about women wanting to join the workforce, but they also wanted to be educated like the men. Most women were kept from getting involved with political system, because of their household ‘jobs’ they needed to do and because they did not understand the full concept of reading or writing. Most women had to educate themselves from hearing their masters talk.
Hillary Clinton’s main purpose is to explain everyone how women’s rights are human rights. This is stated clearly as main claim and a conclusion in her speech. “If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, let it be that human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights once and for all” (Clinton). She supports her main claim through inductive logic by giving examples of what women are suffering from. Clinton mentions about how the society is violating women’s right by stating how women are being set on fire, raped, abused, which is against the human rights.

Sanders has come in contact with many women throughout his life, through his observations of how women have prospered in society he believes that women feel such pressure to be everything, do everything. It’s as if they’re trying to overcome a million years’ worth of evolution in one lifetime. In her widely watched 2010 TED talk “Why We Have Too Few Women Leaders” (currently with more than 1.5 million views) Sheryl Sandberg, currently Chief Operating Officer of Facebook (and the first woman to serve on Facebook's board) and formerly Vice President at Google, shares her experience of being one of the rare women in top global management positions and offers advice to women who would like to succeed in their corporate careers. In the 15-minute video, Sandberg asks how we can fix the problem of having too few women in top leadership positions in spite of many advances in women’s rights being made. She argues that the solution lies with women themselves, as individuals, and the messages they need to tell themselves and their daughters. This entails three steps: (1) ‘sit at the table’, meaning women should negotiate for themselves more assertively and stop underestimating their abilities; (2) ‘make your partner a real partner’ and establish shared/equal responsibilities between partners at home (i.e. with raising children and housework); and (3) ‘don’t ‘leave’ before you leave’, which means continuing to work at the best of your abilities (i.e. ‘leaning in’ instead of ‘leaning back’ when the possibility of having a child is entertained) until
