I was born on April 15th, 1452 near Vinci Italy and raised was raised by my father and my stepmothers. My father is Ser Piero, and my mother is Caterina who was a young peasant women. My father has been married four times and the first three weren't successful and for my mother she was only married once. My parents were never married and between them they had 17 children which were my step-siblings.

At age 5 I was sent away by my father after staying with my mum for 5 years. I was then moved to my grandparents's, which was a family estate in nearby Vinci.

I served as an engineer, painter, architect and sculptor. I was ask to create a 16 foot tall equestrian statue, to honour the dynasty founder Francesco Sforza. I worked on the project on and off for many years, however through the destruction that the French caused due to its invasion. Milan was invaded by the French, the Sforza family fled and I escaped as well, ending up in Florence. Here I painted several portraits which created a series that included 'La Gioconda' or 'Mona Lisa.' This particular painting was painted through the ages of 51 to 53.

La Gioconda or Mona Lisa is an oil painting with a base of a cottonwood panel. This painting depicts a women sitting near a window where it gapes outside displaying a repetitive background consisting of rocks and the sea in cool colours as well as the land with swerved paths in warm tones. Either side of her repeats a simailar layout of the environment displayed.

At age 54 I returned to Milan along with a group of my students, which included Francesco who remains a close companion. Gina Giacomo Trivulzio ordered me to sculpt his equestrian-statue tomb, this wasn't completed
