I wrote about Andrew Jackson, the 7th president of the United States of America, he was the one who established the democratic party and the first frontier president as well as being the first executive who resided with Massachusetts and Virginia. I chose him because I admired all of his hardwork and his loyalty to the country. He is significant because during the Battle of Horseshoe Bend (March 1812) and The Battle of New Orleans (January 8, 1815), Andrew Jackson led his forces to victory. He also joined the military at the age of 13. Back in his time, he was a landowner and a lawyer and now became a national war hero by all of his leadership and all of his hard works. During the War f 1812, He escorted a group of his soldiers to fight against the British Allied Creek Indians, who killed a thousands of settlers at Fort Rims, in which was followed by killed more than 800 warriors and eventually obtained about 2o millions of acre lands. After the campaign was done Andrew Jackson and his force had their victory and also the military promoted as a major general. Their 2nd campaign was to go into the Spanish Territory of Florida and Capture the outpost of Pensacola. The following weeks of skirmishes passed, the two sides finally fought in January 8, 1815. Andrew Jackson led about at 5,000 soldiers to an unexpected victory even though they were outnumbered. It was their last engagement to the British. There was a negative reaction to Andrew Jackson’s re-nomination for the presidency of 1825, that was 3 years before the next election. This splits the the Democratic Party into two. His supporters supported him by calling a him some nickname “Old Hickory”, while on the other side, his anti-supporters or his opponents called him a “Jackass”.
