During the War of 1812, many War Heroes were born causing a new generation of leaders and Andrew Jackson was one of them. Jackson was known as the “Indians Killer” during the Battle of Horseshoe Bend and won New Orleans from the British and that is where he gained his recognition as a War Hero. This later helped him win his presidential election of 1828 against John Quincy Adams.
