Hide your face so the world will never find you.” While I have never seen the play the Phantom of the Opera, the lyrics from the first stanza of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical represents both a passion as well as a pursuit that absorbs and delights me. Webber’s metaphor of “paper faces on parade” is is the comparison of what is seen when juxtaposed to what we want to be seen.
