Andy Warhol was born August 6,1928, Andy Warhol was born on the even of the great depression . he was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the youngest of three brothers. when he was younger he had a great talent of drawing and he knew he wanted to be a superstar.
When he was younger he got ill so his parents and brothers were to entertain him by showing him how to draw and trace.He attended Holmes Elementary School and Schenley High School and graduated at the young age of 16.
When his father past in 1942 Andy couldn’t look at his corpse so he went upstairs and was crying under the bed but his dad main wish was for andy to continue his education in 1945 Andy was accepted at Carnegie-Mellon, he would be the first of his family to go to college. He almost failed his first year but his teacher felt sorry and allowed him to enroll into summer school. Andy was becoming very popular with his classmates. When …show more content…

1964 Warhol opened his own art studio called “the factory”quickly became very popular. He was becoming the social hotspot he went to parties during the evening was very social and becoming even more famous by the minute. His career almost ended when he was shot by Valerie Solanis , an aspiring writer and a feminist on june 3, he was very hurt. She was in one of his films and shot and she was upset because when he refused to use a script she had written, after she shot him she was arrested and was pleaded guilty to the crime. Warhol spent weeks in the hospital recovering. Warhol experimented with video art , producing more than 60 films. some of his popular films were sleep ( shows poet John Ginoro sleeping for 6 hours) and eat ( shows man eating mushroom for 45 minutes.)
