Angus Young is the lead guitar player and songwriter for AC/DC. He has been with AC/DC since the formation of the band and is one of the co-founders of the band. The other founders are his siblings Malcolm and George Young. Angus Young is the youngest of the 8 children in the Young family. He was born in Cranhill, Glasgow, Scotland. In 1963 he moved to Sydney, Australia, with his parents, older Brothers Malcolm and George, and his older sister Margret. At age 15 Angus Young dropped out of Ashfield Boys High School to peruse his musical career. When Angus Young first started to play the guitar when he was five or six years old. That is what inspired him to become a rock star. In November, 1973 he formed the hard rock band AC/DC. AC/DC is a heavy metal band that formed in 1973, in Sydney, Australia. The original band members included Angus Young, Malcom Young, Ronald Bedford, and Scott (Bon). AC/DC's first release was High Voltage. High Voltage was released in 1975 in Australia only. In 1976, AC/DC released an international version of High Voltage. Their songs were mostly blues songs and were all about sexual adventure. By the end of the 1970's, AC/DC has a good reputation in the United States and Europe as one of the best hard rock concert bands in the world. AC/DC got its name from Angus …show more content…
