Over the years, the diminishment in the overall health of our planet has not gone unnoticed. The concern for natural resources, pollution, and global warming are all widely talked about topics with no real solution to them in sight. We all want to eliminate our carbon footprint in whatever ways we can, but nonetheless the problem with that is most of us aren’t even aware of what is causing so much damage to the environment. Whether you want to believe in it or not, animal agriculture plays a huge role in these controversial topics. Globally, we all enjoy animal bi-products in our diet, but do we really know how much of our resources are being used to provide us with that luxury and the toll it is taking on our environment? The production of animal agriculture takes up massive amounts of our land, food, energy, and water. Often, more is being put in than what is being gained.
