The bill of rights is the humanization and validation of what the true American should be able to do to flourish in the United States. Ever since the beginning of this blossoming country we have struggled to identify the extent we are willing to push our morals concerning the human being. Western civilizations such as America has been striving to push this level of morality to animals, and even went so far to create the animal bill of rights. This bill of rights will protect animals from everyday things such as being used as farmhands, companion animals, and lab testing. Animals help us with many other aspects of life, and have since way back when. Cows help keep fertilized land, lambs provide us with wool, and horses provide us with transportation and sport. The animal bill of rights prevents these animals from being used in our society, thus leading to the destruction of mankind. If we were to stop using these animals to our benefit, we won’t be the only ones suffering. Cows will be unable to stay alive due to predators, domesticated pigs will soon die off from years of being babied by humans, and cats will eventually take over the human ratio by how frequently they reproduce. We need to think of the consequences before we go out and decide that every living thing should have the same rights. These animals need us, they really do. They have for so long been tended to and by humans, we have provided them with shelter and food, and in return, they provided meat and fur, and even companionship. Take example my cat, Milo, who while he is an amazing pet who provides me with companionship and love, still heavily relies on me to provide him with safety and a home. If this bill goes into place, and I have to put Milo on the street, he wouldn’t be able to survive. We help each other out, and they need us no matter how you look at it. If this bill of rights is enacted we are left with useless animals that have no purpose, essentially. They will contribute nothing to society and eventually become way too
