In the book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell the pigs were the only ones who knew how to read. The pigs revealed to everyone that they had been learning how to read from an old spelling book for the past three months (11). They had a big advantage over the other animals because they could read and write unlike the others. They knew what was going on when they were reading things and they didn't have to tell the other animals and they wrote all the rules so they could change the rules on the other animals and they wouldn't know. Since the pigs were smarter than everyone else that put them on top. They told everyone were to go and what they are to do. They didn't realize it but they turned into the humans because of their knowledge and power.
