In the novel, Animal Farm, by George Orwell, Orwell hints at characters and events in Animal Farm that connect to people and events that happened in Russian history as a way to show everyone what happened in the past with or without their knowledge. One example of this is when the farmer “were all carrying sticks, except Jones, who was marching ahead with a gun in his hands in attempt the recapture of the farm” (46). Jones, after losing this farm to the animals, decides he had enough and fought back against the animals.
