One similarity between Animal Farm and ¨The Tiger Who Understood People” is the moral of the story. Both stories moral are ¨if you live as humans do, it will be the end of you¨ (Thurber, par. 3). In ¨The Tiger Who Understood People” the tiger learned a lot about how men do things, and thought he would use their methods in the jungle (Thurber, par. 1). He thought there was no use to hunt for their own food, when they can just make the other animals do it for them. The lion had a plan that he and the leopard would put on a staged fight, and the only way the other animals could get in was to bring a freshly killed boar (Thurber, par. 1). Because they were so hungry, they fought each other in anger. They were both harshly injured and extremely worn out that a couple of wild boars came by and attacked and killed them (Thurber, par. 2). In Animal Farm, the animals wanted to overthrow their leader, Jones because they wanted to be free and equal (Orwell, par. 11). With the help of Old Major, giving the idea of the Rebellion and a free society where all the animals were equal, the animals carried out the Rebellion and overthrew Jones (Orwell, par. 60). Snowball then rose to power, until he was chased off the farm by Napoleon and his dogs (Orwell, par. 122). Napoleon then became leader, with the pigs at his side. The pigs were the most clever animals on the farm, therefore they become the supervisors (Orwell, par. 50). Although, throughout the novel, the pigs start acting more and more like the humans they fought hard to overthrow. For example, they started living in Jones’ house and sleeping in beds, which goes against one of the Seven Commandments that says “No animal shall sleep in a bed.” This commandment was later changed to “No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets” (Orwell, par.
