Main Point #2: Animals play a great importance in the environments they live in and have a positive impact on earth A. Ecosystems are carefully balanced, with a hierarchy of prey and predators that keep populations in check. As species go extinct, they are taken out of the food chain. Animals that ate the newly-extinct species have to find new food sources or starve (Marsh, 2021). 1. It's a pretty simple cause and effect situation as once an animal is gone from an environment whatever was using that species has to find a new food source or they end up dying from starvation.
2. If a predator goes extinct, its prey’s population can proliferate, unbalancing local ecosystems (Marsh, 2021) B. It’s unavoidable that humans share an ecosystem with endangered species. That means that when a population of a species is diminishing, human life will alter (Marsh, 2021).
Without the necessary resources for survival, we’re compromising the survival of human life by contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and loss of biodiversity (Marsh, …show more content…

Creative Closing Thought or Memorable Conclusion: I hope we humans overcome our selfishness and stop situations like this from happening as I know I find that the extinction of more species is sickening and I'm ashamed to be a part of the cause, hopefully you all think the same.
