In was a hot summer morning at 92 degrees. The neighbor Doug Greene called 911 at 9:45 in the morning. He told the operator that neighbor, Anna Garcia, has been acting strange. Greene has not spoken to Garcia since the morning before. Anna was walking her dog around 6:30 and was wearing a sweater during a heat wave. Dog had been barking for 2 hours . Greene tried calling Anna but no one answered then wen’t to Garcia’s house and rang the doorbell. Again, no one answered. Police and EMT arrived at the house and found Anna lying face down in the entry hallway. The temperature inside the house was 73 degrees. EMT stated Anna’s death. Police told the crime scene investigators and the medical examiner to come to the house. Anna was found lying in a puddle of her blood right by her head. …show more content…

The scene was documented by a scene sketch that was on graph paper with a scale of 3 boxes= 1 foot. Victim, Anna Garcia, is 38 years old, hispanic, female with a height of 64 inches and a weight of 165. According to the autopsy report, clothes are not torn but have blood stains on them. There was a small amount of vomit on the shoulder area of the blouse. Garcia’s head is normally shaped and has medium long, black hair. Injury in current on the right temple but neck shows no sign of injury. Chest and torso are the right size and there is no visible sign of trauma and the abdomen is distended. Ankles appear to be swollen and fingernails have a grayish color which indicates low oxygen. Garcia’s right proximal humerus shows signs of a healed break and so does the distal
