Anne Frank’s Legacy There is nobody better at hide and seek than Anne Frank. The Franks lived in a confined space for almost two years with four other people, never once getting to go outside. I hope they weren't claustrophobic. Throughout this lengthy period Anne expressed her feelings through writing. Her journal was named Kitty, to keep her company.
Anne Frank Compare and Contrast The Diary of Anne Frank takes place Amsterdam, Netherlands. In the book Anne and her family are Jews in World War II. Because of the oppression of the Jews, Anne and her family are forced to go into hiding. Anne, her mom Edith, her dad Otto, her sister Margot, Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, Peter Van Daan, and Mr. Dussel.
During World War II, the Jewish people were treated like objects rather than people by their Nazi captors. The Nazi’s view of the Jews was not a good one. They weren’t viewed as human anymore. The Nazis had absolutely no respect for the Jewish people whatsoever.
The Holocaust effected thousands of families. Loved ones were lost, families were torn apart, and people suffered tremendously. One of the many families that became famous during the Holocaust was the Frank family. Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl who was forced to go into hiding with her family during World War II to escape from the Nazis. As a young teenager, she became famous for her diary and known for sharing her experiences during this terrible time in history.
The Holocaust was the mass genocide of mainly Jewish people and the “undesirables”. The jewish people were dehumanized by the Nazis. All of the people that were persecuted in the mass genocide were either placed into death camps, work camps, or the ghetto when waiting to get to a death camp or work camp. Though the Nazis were trained to be ruthless killing machines, some were kind at heart and helped some of the jewish people survive. “She pinned a lie to the lips of all those who said they had no choice”, Gerda Weissman went through and saw all of the horrific actions of the nazis.
It became hard for Anne, she was put into a segregated Jewish school, her father even had to give up his title in his business. On June 12, 1942 Anne got a diary for her birthday, this will later be the reason we know Anne Frank’s story. On July 5, 1942 Anne’s family were forced into hiding; it was no longer safe for their family to live in the outside world. She wrote in her diary “ The world will keep turning without me, and I can’t do anything to change events anyway.” The family spent two years in hiding, it wasn't till August 4, 1944 that the family was found by the police, they arrested everyone in hiding.
Anne's sister Margaret was ordered to go to an concentration camp. Anne Frank had many accomplishments during such a horrible time span. Anne Frank wrote a diary about the concentration camps and it got published in 1947. There was also a movie called The Diary Of Anne Frank. Anne Frank will never be forgotten.
Anne Frank, a 13 year old Jewish girl, had to stay in hiding in 1942. She wasn’t all alone. There was actually another family with her in hiding. All that was there was Anne Frank, Margot Frank, Mr. Frank, Mrs. Frank, Mr. Van Daan, Mrs. Van Daan and their son Peter Van Daan. Later in the years an extra person had came by the name of Mr. Dussel.
Jews that lived during the Holocaust were robbed and deprived of their God given rights and humanity.. They slowly lost hope, faith, family, and the reason you keep living. Elie Wiesel realizes he has to let go of his family to survive when the doctor says, “In this place there is no such thing as father, brother, friend”(110). This is dehumanizing because people are born needing a family to depend on and once they lose something as simple as that, they fall into a pit of negative emotions. Thousands of people lost their family members during the holocaust and the Germans had absolutely so sympathy towards them.
Everyone changes over time, they grow up and evolve from the person they used to be. Change in a person is just a part of life and happens to everyone. The Holocaust was an event that happened in the 1930s and 40s all over Europe. Over six million Jewish people were killed in camps and of those people were Anne Frank and her family. Anne was just a 13-year-old girl when she and her family went into hiding with another family above her dad's business.
Anne Frank proved herself to be a when she became the human face of the Holocaust. In her well know Diary, she docked down all the events that occurred all around her while she was hiding up in the Secret Annex. While Anne was in hiding she said, "I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness; I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too. I feel the suffering of millions." In so many ways she is expressing the idea of things changing.

Anne Frank was a brave young girl who took up for herself and didn’t let others tell her what to do. Anne really didn’t have a choice but to be brave. She was only 13 when everything happened.
Anne Frank’s family’s relationship has been harmed by the wartime environment and situational trauma. When the family had to go to the Secret Annex to hide from the Nazis, they began to fall apart as a family. When Anne writes in her diary, she expresses many troubles with her family, particularly how the parents favor Margot, the older sister. The family’s preference for Margot has an impact on the family’s connection with Anne. Anne Frank recounts her feelings regarding a disagreement that occurred between Anne, Margot, and Edith when they were in the Secret Annex on Saturday, November 7, 1942.
