“Dear Kitty, Lots of things have happened,” -Anne Frank She was a young Jewish girl in Germany during World War II. She and her family hid in an annex, in Amsterdam, where she kept a diary and wrote her thoughts and acclimation to the new lifestyle. They were eventually found. Sadly, Anne died a month before all concentration camps were liberated. Her father was the only one to survive and he found her diary and after many years was persuaded to have it published in 1947. Later, in 1955 it was made into a play than, was redone to be more modern in 1997. In both adaptations of the play, there are two big differences, the mood, and the characters.
