During World War II, the German Reich marched across the entire continent of Europe. During the Holocaust, many people became discouraged and lost hope in the future of society. However, the excerpts from “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl,” written by herself, and “Hitler Youth: Growing up in Hitler’s Shadow” by Susan Campbell Bartoletti, prove that being positive and persevering is the best thing that someone can do. Whether hiding from the Nazis or already taken by them, the best response to have during conflict and chaos is maintaining a positive outlook on life and to persist through difficult times.
Anne Frank Essay There are eight people hiding in the Amsterdam in a Secret Annex there is the Frank family, The Van Daans, and Mr. Dussel, The Franks went into hiding July 1942. The residents living in the Annex are Jews hiding from the Nazis. They are in there for 2 years before the Nazis find them and take them to a concentration camp The people that show sacrifice, courage, and compassion are Mr. Frank and Miep and Mr. Kraler.
In the year 1933, the persecution of Jews and their families due to the holocaust had begun. Hitler had come to power, and made Nazi Germany believe the Jews were the problem. The Jewish families were forced into hiding or else they would be taken away to concentration camps or killed. One of the families in 1945, being persecuted were the Franks. Anne Frank was 13 when they moved into the hidden annex above Mr. Kralers office building.

In this play Anne Frank keeps a diary that tells the life they had to live during the Holocaust being a Jewish family living in an annex. There is a novella called Night that tells the story of a Jewish teen boy during the Holocaust that is in a concentration camp with his father until they get liberated.
Dealing With Conflict and Hard Times When it comes to dealing with tough times such as going to internment camps or hiding from Nazi soldiers so that they aren’t taken to centration camps, there are three important questions that come into play; What motivates people to move through hard times and moments? , What can people do to help others going through tough problems?, and Who can people go to to help them through tough times or conflict? I think that people can best respond to conflict by staying strong through courageousness and always having people in their life to talk to.

She showed optimism and appreciation through the horrible events of the Holocaust and the fear of being killed or sent to concentration camps.

In about three years, nearly five or six million Jews died, one man did it all. In the Diary of Anne Frank, eight people had to survive in a tiny hiding place for twenty-five months. After reading the play I thought that it was a cool play, but after the movie I thought that all people should go over this in the 8th grade. I think Anne Frank would have been a independent women and not like Margot who obeyed everyone. Anne Frank changed by being more responsible, nicer, and quieter. I think Anne Frank's hiding made it more easier for everyone because she was happy all the time. I think that she would have still published the book if she survived, Because she always wanted to be a writer.
The year was 1947, two years has past since Anne had died. Mrs.Frank and I started to make a plan to escape Auschwitz. Before, Anne had died she told me that her friend use to know someone who had… escaped but got caught two hours later. Then Mrs.Frank and I started to hachut our plan to escape. ‘’Margot, can you go get Miep for me ,Oh and tell her it’s the big day?’’
This story is abut a girl that was writing her daily days while she was in the holocaust She was venting her fears and frustrations, and contemplating her everyday life. She was given the diary as a present from her parents in 1942, and named it Kitty. Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. She realized that writing down her thoughts and feelings could help her cope with the anxiety of the war and Nazi persecution.
Anne Frank’s Character Development Throughout the War Throughout World War II Anne Frank was kept hidden away in a 500 square foot building they came to call the Secret Annexe. Anne Frank, her family, and the Van Daans endured difficult times of hunger, thirst, and lack of privacy cornered by walls for over two years. Anne confided her observations and feelings of the hard times within her diary she named Kitty. By writing in her diary both before and after the war, one could visibly notice how Anne went into the Annexe as a juvenile and came out as a young adult.
Imagine how it feels to be stuck in a tiny, miniscule room for almost two years, not able to make a sound or movement and if heard by someone,death or concentration camp is the destination? The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett is about a small family which consists of Anne, Margot, Mr. Frank, and Mrs. Frank who were in a shock of fear, and went into hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Over the course of the story other characters join the family into hiding such as Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and their son Peter. During the time of hiding, Anne kept a diary to write down all her thoughts, fears, and feelings and was later known to be the most important piece of literature from the times of the Holocaust. The story takes you through their everyday lives of hiding in the annex which also includes arguing and times of happiness.
The novel is written from a third person objective. This novel is written as a play, so I know that this is third person. Plays are narrated in third person because you do not see the play through one character 's viewpoint. Also the word I does not often appear in the play.
When the Nazis invaded Amsterdam, Anne’s father took help from some local friends to hide in a complex of his office. The office is known commonly as the “Secret Annex.” Days were spent here in worry, but everyone kept each other alive with love and support. Anne wrote in her diary, which kept her motivated to live. For two years, her and 7 others hid in solitary.
