Anne Frank was a young girl who had once lived a normal life like everyone else, but had to experience a time that had affected the whole world, The Holocaust. The young girl, through her 2 years of hiding, kept a diary with her to record her daily life. In this diary, she talks about her life and the changes she has to go through. Although she didn’t make it out of The Holocaust, (the mass murder of millions of Jewish people), and died in Auschwitz, her story lives on and still inspires millions of people all around the world today. Her book, Anne Frank; The Diary of a Young Girl. which was published by her father, talks about the world’s conflicts during World War 2. She went from a petty teenage girl, into a somewhat mature and educated young adult. She used to be really petty and shallow. An excerpt from her diary states, “A thirteen year-old girl is completely alone in the world. And I'm not. I have loving parents and a sixteen-year-old sister, and there are about thirty people I can call friends. I have a throng of admirers who can't keep their adoring eyes off me and who sometimes have to resort to using a broken pocket mirror to try and catch a glimpse of me in the classroom. I have a family, loving aunts and a good home” (Anne Frank; The Diary of a Young Girl.) This quote especially shows her pettiness, and shallow personality.
