There are several articles and studies that discussed the acceptance of the individuals, Especially the youths, to the LGBT community as well as the same-sex marriage in local and international.

Despite all that, LGBT people here still faces disadvantages in getting hired for jobs, acquiring rights for civil marriage, and even in starting up personal businesses. This has led to the rise of LGBT rights, defined as the right to equality and non-discrimination and the country is a signatory to international covenant and promotes human rights.

There are numerous conducted researches concerning to the acceptance of legalizing same-sex marriage in the Philippines to youths and adults. The researcher of ABM-11 looks upon this studies and researches as reference and sources for further analysis and additional facts to the topic.

The Pew Research Center is one of many institutions which conducted surveys in the different part of the world regarding the broader question whether homosexuality is widely accepted nor rejected . Their survey finds out that acceptance of homosexuality is particularly found in countries which have people who do not much believe in religions and known to have poor faith and devotion to the creator . The result shows that mature people reject the same-sex marriage more than the younger ones. Filipinos that has 18-29 years old approves homosexuality and same-sex marriage overpowering the people ranging from 30-49 and 50+ years old above which has less percentage of the acquiescence of the controversial issue,most of them are in the middle and upper classes.The survey was conducted with an error margin of plus or minus three percent for national and a plus or minus six percent for regional results. This survey turns out to be accurate and is not surprising since the Philippines is dominated by Christians and this country is known for the huge crowd of religious people and surely most of the churches will disapprove this because they have their own definition of marriage and this sacred.
