4). Here is where one begins to notice a lack of focus on the part of the researcher. If one examines the title and the purpose statement they seem to be at odds, at least in some ways. The stated title has to do with building a multicultural church and how relationships are a key part of doing that (e.g., Building a multicultural church). Here one sees that the title is in some ways misleading because it promises to instruct one in the actual building of a multicultural church while the purpose is geared towards those who are already leading in a multicultural church setting. The person seeking to know how to build a multicultural church is in a different place than the leader of a multicultural church who is seeking to build relationships and community.
