This article explains how Shakespeare is able to create “at once deeply physical and insistently metaphysical” Character interiority played a huge role when shakespeare writes. Shakespeare has a wide knowledge of perspective and uses it towards to broaden and explore the different types of possibilities for character interiority. The article is very helpful because of the many different types of details and ideas about the characters and their inward character as well as their outward character. Again this opens up many different ideas and thoughts about Hamlet that someone may have not been able to think about themselves. This article is split into eight different sections. Each section is related to a different misconception about the play Hamlet. For example one of the misconceptions she list is about how Hamlet as a character is inconsistent. In this article she describes the character of Hamlet to be a “speaker and a thinker”. The author also tells us how his character seems to be a tad bit flawed in his role.
