Ansel Adams: The Life of a Photographer Photography is a wonderful way of expressing inner feelings or ideas. Photographers can imagine something in their minds, and shoot a photo of what they imagine in the real world. God is the creator of everything and gives us the ability and opportunity to be able to see what he created, and out it into the lens of our cameras and show the world just how majestic He truly is. He spent a lot of his time at Yosemite Sierra. Adams became a part of the Sierra Club in 1919. In 1927 several people saw one of his photographs, Monolith, the Face of Half Dome. He met his wife, Virginia Best, in Yosemite. He and his wife got married in 1928 and had two children (Turnage). Their children’s names were Michael and Anne (Ansel Adams Biography). In the same year of his marriage, he also had the first exhibition of his photography work at the Sierra Club. Each month the Sierra Club would go on a trip where they hiked to different campsites, and Adams was the photographer for these trips.
