1984: An Anthropological Pentadic Analysis The ideological system within 1984 begins with the sole reliance of Big Brother, and His teachings such as “War is Peace”, “Freedom is Slavery”, and “Ignorance is Strength”. The worth of an individual in this novel, more specifically, in Oceania, pertains to their loyalty to Big Brother. Throughout the novel, the religion in Oceania seems to be Big Brother, as He is the one who sets up the beliefs of the people and the system of moral relationships and the one that is worshipped.

Native American Research: Chief Pontiac Intro Chief Pontiac is a Native American that is important to the United States’ history. He was a part of the Ottawa tribe and led the American Indians to a revolution also known as the Pontiac War or Pontiac’s Rebellion, which was against the British when they first came to America. He wasn’t afraid to die for his rights. He believed that they all had rights to live in America and to live how they wanted to live. I chose him for my Native American Research because he was a courageous Native American hero.

Vision of America Before Today America the Great. America the Powerful. America the Beautiful. Are many ways we use to describe America. Anthropology Questions: 1. Was this crime indicative of the beliefs, morals, and culture of the two aggressors? 2. Were there any scratch marks found on the victim? Were there any fingernails found at the scene of the crime?
For my paper I interviewed John Navarra, a professor at UNCW. He has taught at UNCW almost since he graduated from there. Mr. Navarra is a Wilmingtonian himself, as am I. He is my archaeology teacher, and one of the youngest active archaeology professors I have met. Mr. Navarra teaches part time at UNCW, but also at a community college.
Critical thinking questions: physical anthropology textbook 1. Given that you’ve only just been introduced to the field of physical anthropology, why do you think subjects such as skeletal anatomy, genetics, nonhuman primate behavior, and human evolution are integrated into a discussion of what it means to be human? The study of physical anthropology integrates the subjects of skeletal anatomy, genetics, nonhuman primate behavior, and human evolution because anthropologists look to the fossilized remains of hominins to see what their environments were like and what they ate. In addition to these sub fields, anthropologists look to skeletal anatomy to see any evolutionary change or if the hominin had died from any diseases and how old and tall
At the founding of Carlisle Indian School, Native Americans were just beginning to be treated like actual people, but it was still a slow transition. In the attempts to assimilate the Native American people, the Carlisle Indian School essentially scooped up Native American children from their homes and brought them into a Military regimented boarding school, which would be difficult even for white American youth. Culturally, these Indian children were forced to leave all that they had been taught in their native lands behind, and had to start anew with the European-American lifestyle. This transition did not go smoothly especially because changing was against most of these young native’s will. Punishment for breaking any of these strict rules was confinement in prison-like cells.

While their people have inhabited the United States for thousands of years, today their numbers are dwindling. From Columbus's arrival to America up until modern day life, Native American tribes have been oppressed by white settlers.
Unlike the synoptic gospels on Matthew, Mark, and Luke, the Book of John provides an intentionally different view of Jesus' life and ministry. According to John 20:30-31, John wrote his gospel to provide evidence to believers' that Jesus was truly the Messiah. As a result, 93% of the content contained in John's gospel differs from the synoptic gospels (Cole, 2013). Additionally, since the Book of John was written after the each of the synoptic gospels, it is reasonable to assume John was aware of the other gospels and intentionally choose to highlight different aspects of Jesus' life and ministry as evidence that Jesus was the Son of God. Therefore, I am aligned with the scholars that ascert John wrote his gospel to bolster the faith of
