Bacteria are referred to as prokaryotes. Bacteria will adapt to different environments to be able to survive and thrive. As a result of adapting, they come in different forms. However, bacteria do have many common parts that they share. The first form is a capsule which is a protective coat that often comes in a slime like form made up of sugars that help protect the bacteria. This capsule is what makes the bacteria virulent which means that the bacteria have a higher chance of causing diseases and infections. Bacteria also share a cell wall which is made up of peptidoglycan, a sugar and protein compound. This cell wall is what gives the bacteria its rigidity and protection. A cell membrane is also shared between all types of the bacteria. The cell membrane acts by managing and directing what molecules can come into and out of the cell. The cytoplasm of the bacteria has a job of directing which molecules are being transported and as well as maintaining the best temperature and pH for the bacteria. Ribosomes are also found in every type of bacteria and is the region for the synthesis of
