Founded in the 1730’s by Benjamin Franklin, libraries have long strived to create an informed citizenry. Thought of as the cornerstone for democracy, these libraries allow for discourse, dialogue, and freedom of interest and thinking leading to a better society in all aspects. Libraries may have been rooted in an idea to help the politics, but throughout time these facilities have become centers of communities and promote social and cultural benefits and demonstrations as well.
