Principles of Adult Learning.
1. Expect adults to be self-directed and autonomous.
Adults require learning to be self-directed. In the classroom, the educator must actively involve the students in the learning process. Suppress the impulse to supply the learners with all of the information and provide them an opportunity to discover all of the facts. Give students the freedom to take responsibility for their learning through presentations, individual and group discussions as well as variation n tasks (Henry, 2009).
2. Expect adults to bring experience and knowledge to each activity.

Expect adults to be goal-oriented.
Adult participating in learning activities must perceive the activity as fulfilling a particular objective. Therefore, the education program will be better received if the course is well organized and the learning objectives are clearly defined (Henry, 2009).
5. Expect adults to be problem oriented and desire an opportunity to apply what know (Henry, 2009).
The course or learning exercise should have the ability to be immediately applied to their lives. Provide connections between classroom theories and practical applications via problem-solving activities as an intrigue part of the learning experience has important relevant applications
6. Expect adults to have intrinsic and extrinsic motivating factors.
The adult will retain information if they are motivated to do so. Keep their motivation high by introducing new learning or approach to a specific problem. In doing so, the student is less likely wane from the learning activity (Henry, 2009).
7. Adults have time restrictions.
