Gaining over 200 million users in just the last few years, music streaming services have quickly become the most popular way of listening to music. CDs, cassettes, and records are a thing of the past and have been replaced by streaming services like Tidal, Deezer, Google Play Music, and Rhapsody, however, the two most popular are undeniably Apple Music and Spotify. Spotify is by far the most popular music streaming service with 20 million who are subscribed to their premium service along with 55 million people who use their free service, but with Apple Music having been released only four months ago, the service has already gained approximately 6.5 million users, giving Spotify a run for their money. Each service is definitely good, but which is better? When it comes down to it, there are a few things to consider in determining an answer to this question include their pricing, radio service, music, and the features for discovering new music that each service offers. It's all a matter of preference and which features are most important to you when you're listening to music. For me, the music selection, the quality of music and discovering new music is very important. Apple Music and Spotify's music selection and music quality are extremely comparible and I would be fine with either service, but I love all of the options Spotify offers for music discovery, so I would pick Spotify over Apple Music. Plus, Spotify's free option is incredible compared to Apple Music's. However, if you value different aspects like the radio stations or you enjoy Apple Music's discovery features, you may pick Apple Music over Spotify. Again, it all comes down to your own personal preference. Overall, Spotify and Apple Music both have very strong atributes, I think Spotify takes the cake as the best music streaming service, but if you're willing to pay $9.99 a month, you should try Apple
