Ever since I was a little girl, I always had ambitions for success, no matter how big or small they were. I always knew I would go to college and I knew I was destined to work in the medical field. After being out of school for a few years following graduation, I heard about the many programs and hands on training offered by ECPI. I did a little research of my own into the University and realized that this was the perfect school for me. So, when people ask me what made me choose ECPI, the answer never changes,” Feeding my need to succeed brought me to ECPI University”. In order to reach my goals and obtain my certification, I had to research the ins and outs of my field to ensure that I take the right steps towards working in healthcare. Considering I have little to no experience working in the medical field, other than the hands-on training and knowledge I am acquiring at ECPI. There are certain technicall skills I will have to possess to be the perfect candidate for the job within their company. A successful medical assistant has basic office skills, medical administrative skills, medical skills, patient interaction, personal qualities, and other possible skills depending on the type of medical assistant one chooses to pursue. Each skill is required in order to complete certain on the job tasks. These skills include but are not limited to having strong written and verbal communication, strong customer service skills, ability to record patient medical history, resolve billing issues, administer medication, draw blood, work directly with patients, be committed to accuracy, prioritize and problem solve, and a number of other
