The concept that we desire for our permanent establishment is that of a traditional Venezuelan Arepa Bar, to be called Arepazo Venezuelan Cuisine. In this concept, the customers select what items they want in their Arepa from a wide variety of buffet-style selections and then pay per their chosen selections. This concept is akin to Chipotle’s ordering system. As the previously mentioned research shows, customers desire to customize their meals, and the concept of an Arepa Bar is one that perfectly fits in the Fast Casual industry category. Bloomington needs a lounge where individuals not attracted to the college bar scene can spend some time and taste new offerings. Arepazo Bar would emphasize on featuring one or two beers and wine from each Latin American country, along with making wine cocktails. American and European beers would also be available, but they will not be the featured selling items of the bar. This is a street corner location with outside seating availability on the north side of Downtown Bloomington, only a few blocks from where we have been parking our food truck during the academic year. By being close to the location from which we have been operating since our business began, we will not be starting a brand-new business, but instead creating an expansion from all our hard work. Customers know where to seek us, thereby by us being close to our usual location we should not lose any business.
