Have you ever thought about the 700,000 lives we lose each year to abortion? There are many different ways to protect yourself from unplanned pregnancy. Abortion is taking the easy way out of a pregnancy. It is very wrong, you are killing an innocent life. Taking an innocent life is something that can be avoided. “Results of a survey indicated that half of obstetrical doctors are willing to break the law and proceed with the abortion” (Solinger, 1992). Obstetricians are willing to risk their careers and their freedom to continue giving abortions and this should not be allowed. “Many hospitals were practicing abortions by statistics, this way a patient is no longer a medical case but a number balanced against a quota” (Calderon, 1993). “It is a federal crime to transport a minor across state lines to have an abortion” (Baird, 2006). Taking a minor across state lines to receive an abortion is against the CCPA law. We need to reevaluate our stance on abortion laws meaning that we should try to see how abortions are not healthy and are not right in any sense. Abortion doesn’t solve all of your problems. “For many long nights and or all life long a woman may ponder the irreversible choice she made to abort her child” (Matthews- Green, 2016). Some choices may have a major impact on you for your entire life and abortion cannot be reversed so once you’ve had the procedure done you cannot undo it. Your choice is final as soon as you receive the abortion. Abortion isn’t the only option, there are many alternatives you can take besides murdering the unborn child. Our future depends on the lives that are conceived today. “Abortion deprives that being of a future like ours” (Vogelstein, 2015). Killing an innocent baby is taking away their future and their right to live a long, happy life. The deprivation of a life is not only wrong, it is also disgusting and messed up.
