Community colleges and trade schools are two important aspects of higher education for students who may not necessarily have the financial resources or academic background to attending a four-year university. For this reason, there have been debates on whether or not community colleges and trade schools should be free for everyone. In my opinion, I believe that community colleges and trade schools should be free for everyone, as this would create more opportunities for students who may not have the means to attend college or university. Currently, student debt in the United States is at an all-time high, with the average student graduating from college with tens of thousands of dollars in debt. Thirdly, free community colleges and trade schools can provide training and education in essential industries such as healthcare and skilled trades. These industries are in high demand and provide excellent employment opportunities, but students may not have the resources to attend a four-year university to receive the necessary training. By making community colleges and trade schools free, students can gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in these industries, which can help fill the growing job market gap.
