Immigration is an issue that is constantly being brought up throughout the United States,

it is even being brought up in current presidential debates. There are some citizens in the United

States that feel that illegal immigration is affecting the United State in a negative way. Many

illegal citizens are coming from south of the border and the other countries around the world.

The amount of federal funding used to patrol the Mexican­American border is excessive and

needs to be re­evaluated, as immigration is still continuing with the expenditures in place. There

It's easy for an

illegal immigrant from Mexico to feel encouraged to cross the border due to the fact that it

neighbors a 1st world country with lots of benefits.

The United States provides each border patrol officer with a salary that ranges between

32,000 and 43,000 a year. There are approximately 12,000 border patrol agents in total, guarding

The spending was not worth the cost of

tax payers especially when it was not seen as efficient enough to prove its worth. The budget for

the wall increases every year and costs many americans to pay more on taxes due to this issue

that is not very efficient.

Many illegal mexicans cross into the united states by hiring smugglers known as coyotes

that figure out ways to cross into the united undetected but this method also brings different

ways of smuggling illegal narcotics into the United States. If the governments is going to be

spending billions of dollars on this issue of preventing illegal immigration of happening and

prevent the smuggling of drugs, it should be for efficient then what results are showing us. This

topic is constantly being brought and people try and find many solutions to this problem.

Illegal immigration can benefit the United States in many ways but also cost the country
