Have you ever been at a stoplight and seen a homeless man with a sign saying “Please Help”? There are thousands of people that go homeless regardless of their job. The odds say that if they had around 20,000 dollars more per year it would help tremendously with their issues. That is the estimated increase in salary per year for people who go to college. College is worth the cost because it is more than just an education. People with a degree get paid substantially more, and there are multiple payment programs to help with debt. Even though some people believe college focuses too much on your experience and not enough on your education, college has as much to do with your experience there as it does with the education itself. There are many programs to assist you in paying your debt. The programs out there will help you pay your loans, but they don’t lower amount you pay. There are so many federal repayment plans to help you (Mooney). These plans are composed to help you manage your money along with the bills that come monthly. Not only are there repayment plans to help you pay; you will also be paid more for your degree ( Mooney). There will definitely be difficulties when paying your debts but they will be monumentally easier because of the extra money you will be earning. The student aid bill of rights was signed in 2015 and it forces federal agencies to better inform students and be more lenient with the interest of their debt. With these payment plans the interest can end up being the downfall of their finances, but with the lower interest these problems have all but disappeared. The troubles of debts can be overwhelming, that’s why these plans are needed. They make a students life easier. College is so much more than an education it’s an experience, but college does give you an education that you can be confident in. It will change the way you deal with money and change you as a person. There is an astounding pay gap for the graduates and the undergraduates. The people that have a degree are paid considerably more. Yes, the worries of debt can be scary, but can also be helped with numerous repayment plans. With so many reasons
