Black characters accounted for about 41 hours of screen time, or about 15% of screen time, the study showed. Latino characters accounted for seven hours, or 3% of screen time, while Asian Americans accounted for four hours, or 1% of screen time according to Brennan, Steve.” Majority of screen time white people are shown most. Other races are just as important to show on television as white people.

Ideally, US television demographics should mirror the racial demographics of both the country and cities within which the stories are set, but many analyses suggest they do not according to Marquez L..
