With every new president comes new appointees and with new appointees comes change. These new changes can radically affect how education will be affected. As of now, many DACA students worry for their future, Betsy DeVos plans to change public education and the future decision on transgender bathroom use can make an impact on education. DACA is a 2-year temporary resident status for immigrants, who as children were brought to the US illegally by their parents. Recently a big question has been brought to attention as to what will happen to students under DACA.

If I had the opportunity to share a meal with any figure from American history, I would choose Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, the only female recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor and one of the first feminists and dress reformists. One of the reasons I admire Dr. Walker is her ability to fight through prejudice. Dr. Walker lived and worked during the Civil War. She was denied a place as a doctor for the army because of her gender. After three years of volunteer work, she was given a position as a civilian contract surgeon for the Union.

A common view of politicians about Veterans Affairs and the money tied up in it is that the United States has put too much money into the well-being of veterans coming home from war. The United States is already in a spiralling debt crisis and currently the United States does not need any more debt on the shoulders of Americans. According to Forbes, “the federal government has accumulated $18.2 trillion of debt” (Patton). If the United States were to invest more money into Veteran Affairs, that would mean that money would have to be cut from other programs in the budget to prevent even more national debt. If money were to not be cut from other programs, the national debt would drastically increase or taxes would skyrocket.
There has always been a way for children to be cared for in the United States. In the early 1800s orphan asylums were the most popular way for homeless children to be taken care of. Then institutional care came around, where children were taught to grow up as quickly as possible. Placing-out was then created in the 1850s to use instead of the institutions. This form of foster care sent children to the western states to live in rural homes.
The first argument that can be made is that the ADA has not accomplished its goal to give employment to individuals with disabilities. Since the the employment rates of individuals with a disability has declined since the act was signed (Kruse and Schur 31). According to Social psychologist Peter Black research, the goal of the ADA is to allow individuals that are competent with a disability to be hired, promoted, retained and treated equally, without being ridicule based on their performance within their employment. Moreover, since the ADA was signed the employment rates for individuals with a disability has declined.
The Affordable Health Care Act, also known as “Obamacare”, is basically just Obama trying to make sure that the whole nation has insurance and if they do not have it by January 1, 2014, they will be penalized with a fine. To make insurance more affordable, many Americans are able to qualify for a subsidy that lowers the cost depending on age and income. Also, “Obamacare” made it impossible for insurers’ to discriminate, or charge higher rates, for anyone who has pre-existing conditions or for a certain gender. Medicare will also be easier to obtain due to requirement of insurance. This law was passed in the U.S. on March 23, 2010 by Congress and President Barack Obama.
With the increase of health care premiums, hidden administrative costs, high cost of prescription drugs along with defensive medicines these costs are eating up working the American raises. These are a few reasons working Americans can’t get ahead financially. As of January 1st health care premiums increased twenty-five percent for 2017. Between 2015 and 2016 the increase was about 4%.
For my argumentative essay topic I will be discussing why employers should be required to pay maternity leave. Most people after they have a child take somewhere between six to eight weeks leave of absence from their place of employment. There are at least four states that pay maternity leave California, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Families that have children should not be put under financial stress due to an unpaid time off work. While they caring for their new baby is stressful enough adding to it by financial stress can be a burden.
The topic was given to me was “How does plagiarism affect the Medical Field?” Plagiarism is an illegal process in the Medical field. It can put you in jail for many years and mostly you may killed a patient by giving out the wrong prescription or the wrong information. The good medical writing should be clear, concise and an honestly idea. Medical people don’t want thief and kidnapers in the field, because they may cause trouble or something worse for the patient’s life.
Euthanasia, also known as assisted suicide, is the act of permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured patients. This is never suggested by the caretaker rather than requested by the patient or their family. Few areas such as the Netherlands have already legalized this practice. This debate, as split as a fork in the road, is over whether or not this approach should be legalized worldwide on stances regarding religion, ethics, and self choice. I see this as being extremely unethical on both religious and social morality levels.
Imagine having to endure so much pain and suffering for a majority of your life that you would just want it all to end. Well, there is a way one can stop their own pain and suffering and it is called euthanasia. Euthanasia is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease. The act may only be done solely to those diagnosed with terminal illnesses such as cancer, aids, and heart disease. Many people agree with the idea of euthanasia as it can help those who are suffering be stripped of all the pain they are enduring.
Everyone has the right to choose to live or die. Death is part of life that can 't be avoided. This is a natural phenomenon in the process of life is birth, aging, illness and death. Euthanasia, in some words "Mercy Killing or Physician assisted Suicide. " Euthanasia is to help patients who despair and cannot be cured to die peacefully and to have free from suffering.
What would you do if you were dying from the great pain? It is not surprising that there are many people in the world have to encounter with the end of life every single day. Some people died young and some passed away when they reach their aged. But because of the terminal illness, someone decided to cut the last breath of their life with dignity and called it as the euthanasia. It turned out that it has two sides about the point of view towards the euthanasia issue in a positive and negative ways.
