A typical student still has parents who pay for their college education and living conditions. The hard task of paying bills month to month is a concern most students do not have to deal with. (Should not end a sentence with a preposition).
But what happens after walking across the stage and receiving a hard earned college diploma? Most graduates find a job and start living their adult lives. Along with living on their own comes paying bills, taxes, and payments that the student has never dealt with before. Parents or online resources have to show the step by step process of completing each payment and making sure it is done correctly. Financial Peace is designed for adults, but he does offer a course for children called Financial Peace Junior. Ramsey stresses the importance of teaching your children what to do with their money. Getting the proper equipment to have a successful class may be expensive and not feasible. Colleges also collect plenty of money, but the money is already directed towards certain areas and adding another expense may not be an option. Some states, state Boards of Education depending on the governor, may not see the importance in teaching students about finances. A more liberal state would overlook a course on finances because being debt free is not as important to them compared to a conservative state (Where’s your proof??).
