Traditional school versus Year round school The idea of year round school is starting to be more the topic of discussion. Many people are for the idea of year round education and many are against it. “If our country began on a year around schedule, it would have seemed bizarre to propose the summer- off schedule as a superior way to educate students” says Principle Hazel Colebank. Although some may feel year round school is great for bettering education, changing what’s considered normal could cause more harm than good.
For those who have graduated from high school and will continue with their higher education, many if not all of these students will have to pay out of pocket for college. Most of students think that if they graduate from college or a four-year university they will have a chance to work in the professional field rather than work for minimum wage. It is an opportunity for anyone, particularly those who have low wages, to earn a degree and make more money. Every high school student must make a decision on what type of secondary school to attend. Some students already know what they want to do with their futures and the decision is easy, but for most they have to weigh their options carefully and decide on what will best suit them. Traditional college is always pushed on students throughout high school, and it seems Trade schools are always forgotten. Trade schools teach a specific set of skills, tuition is cheaper, and the classes are shorter than a traditional college. Trade schools have several options for career paths that teach students a specific set of skills instead of a broad degree like in traditional college.
Is College Worth The Time And money Many people go to college for many reasons the main one for most is to get a degree in something they think will give them better job opportunities which in return would allow them to have a better paying job then what they may have now. A lot of time ,effort and money go into college and so it’s understandable to think that once you’re done you’ll have a great job waiting for you . In a lot of cases it really doesn’t turn out that way, but either way college is well worth all the time and money someone puts into it.
For many people, college is an important key for their future. Some people go to college for the job opportunities and the new windows it can open. Others go just for the education and experience. A good education is beneficial from many different viewpoints; in truth, it is a possibility that one's adult life could be much harder than people care to think. One can have better wealth, is less likely to be unemployed, and a much higher chance of being closer to your family.
As the school year comes to a close and the only thing on a senior’s mind is how are they going to pay for college? Throughout our high school careers we always get asked what our plans are after high school and never how are you going to pay for that next step of your life after high school. We barely get prepared for the real world in high school we are forced to take classes the school thinks will be good for us not what we think or what will be best for what we want to study for in college. How are high schoolers supposed to be able to pay for college when they don’t get prepared enough in high school to go on to that next level of schooling and have to more than likely go into debt just to be able to pay for it. Colleges should no longer cost an insane amount of money to go there.
In today society, people are easily looked by their college degree level and they can be judged by their degree. But not everybody can afford to go to college in order to get a degree. People have different reasons of not going to college but most of the reasons are because of the tuition. Tuition are too high and they can not afford it. If the free college situation does not make a great effect on the economy, I believe that college should be free because free college can encourage more students to go to college, earn a degree and can decide on their future without the worry of paying debt and contributing to create a better society with their knowledges.
Long ago, there have been massive arguments about whether or not community college should be free. Nowadays, a college education has become fundamental in today's society. Each year, education is becoming challenging in today's marketplace. Thus, many people, including students question whether community college tuition should be free given. I firmly believe free community college should be provided and financed by the U.S. government.

You view points on discussion and debate were very accurate as well considering I have found myself wrong in these situations as much as I have found myself right, allowing me to grow mentally and as a person. In my opinion of the how we should fund our schools is to tax everyone equally and to those wealthier neighborhoods who are able to more than sufficiently fund their schools, to take a little extra from them in order to even out the education opportunities in our city. Education is something that we should all be fighting for in our country, state, city, and area.

Total college and university enrollment changed dramatically from 1,676,856 in 1945, with 88,000 veterans attending, to 2,078,095 in 1946 with veterans accounting for 1,013 ,000, or 48.7 percent of the total. In 1947, veteran enrollment reached its peak at 2,338,226 with 1,150,000 veterans, or 49.2 percent. Colleges not only saw increased enrollment on their campuses but these enrollees -veterans- came fully funded by the federal government. This was certainly a boost for the colleges both in human and financial numbers.
Although college is stressful and time consuming , having your dream career, is a huge life achievement. Having a job isn’t the same as having a career “I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as 'making a life”(Maya Angelou). If you sell yourself short by not going to college you’ll end up working just to make ends means not because it's what you enjoy doing, it's due to your family counting on it. Those who go to college will end up having a better future than those who don’t. I agree that going to college is more beneficial because my view on the topic states that in order to have a secure and clear future you must go to college.
Albert Einstein once said, "Everybody is a genius... But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid". Unfortunately, most school systems depict this quote. They judge a significant amount of the population by their ability to answer a few questions. They rate them with letters and numbers, and force students to be represented by these letters and numbers for the rest of their lives.
