It’s mostly known and thought out to think that date rape is usually forced and not consensual, but is it really?
Date rape is thought to be with a stranger or someone the victim just met but also usually is someone that the victim knows or just met.
Date rape is forced and or without warning to the victim.The victim is often drugged and there state of mind is altered to not know what is occurring around them.
Statistics show that date rape is the most common form of rape which is about 78 percent of all rapes. Rape is very common, 1 out of 4 girls fall victim to an attempt before they are 25 years old.
1 out 5 occurs before the victim has even reached eighteen.

This is really starting to come up as of now against many celebrities recently and whether there is a correlation is unknown as of now. Although, even if the rapist uses drugs that can limit the mental capacity of the brain and thinking skills of the victim the date rape can still be avoided or even stopped. The best thing and sometimes only thing that a victim can do to avoid or stop the rape is to say no and try to resist the rapist and fight them off as much as possible.Date rape or even rape in general, can be stopped and in order to stop them the victim must act as quickly as possible.
In most cases, this does not happen at all, as there are almost always a lot of emotional mixed feelings and the victim ends up being traumatized and is often in shock of what is happening during the rape.
The result of the rape leaves the victim fearful and hesitant to report it due to the confusion and shame they often experience after the rape.

So whether in the end if it is consensual or forced is up to the evidence and the thought of what really went down.
