THE EBOLA CONFLICT
According to news media, Ebola was first reported in Guinea, West African in December 2013 and it started with a young child who was being nursed by her mother. It started like a minor cold, and then develops to strong fever; few days later, she died and her mother got sick, and was being cared for by other relatives as well. Few days later, she also died. The death of this woman drew concerns from health officials who suspected a disease was spreading in the family. Not long though, another relative who was among those caring for the dead woman also got sick and died. As a result of this death, it was perceived that a virus called Ebola could be responsible for the sudden death of these people who have been receiving treatment for presumed malaria. However, with relatives caring for one another, it was now very difficult to prevent the death which already has move from one family to another and keep spreading. Within a short time, more death was reported and it became a situation beyond control as many people did not believe that Ebola was real. In a short while, the disease has spread to Sierra Leone which bordered Guinea and people were killed without solution or medication to treat the virus.
