More and more hurdles are being cleared with the developments of more efficient and powerful electric cars. The most notable of these is the Tesla X, bearing the ability to accommodate seven 6 adult passengers and a driver while also being powerful enough to accelerate as fast as zero to 60 in 3.2 seconds, while also having all-wheel drive capabilities. It is not a renewable resource, and if these batteries are ever mass produced for electric vehicles it will start to diminish the supply of lithium. Although this is a problem that would only occur much later in the future if the electric car becomes popular and uses the lithium battery, it is still good to think of possible problems in advance.
