Gas powered vehicles have been running this world for decades, but has anyone stopped to consider the consequences these vehicles have on our environment? Imagine not being able to go outside without wearing a mask or some sort of air filtration device. This could very well be our future if we do not stop driving gas powered vehicles. Greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, have become a rising concern worldwide. The question that has arisen is how can people help reduce emissions? One solution many look to is switching to electric vehicles. Electric cars have been around since the 1800s, but people continue to purchase higher amounts of gas powered cars. All gas powered cars are virtually identical, but there are different types of vehicles that use electricity, including hybrid and fully electric cars. Electric vehicles run fully on electricity, whereas hybrids run on a combination of gasoline and electricity. Electric vehicles are also known for having reduced, or no carbon dioxide emissions. Despite the benefits, individuals are still conflicted on whether or not a gas powered vehicle is a more desirable car than an electric one.
